      Our funding model is one of trust-based philanthropy. We believe trust is essential between us and our grant recipients. Trust-based philanthropy empowers organizations to think strategically. Thus, allowing them to be creative, adaptive, and innovative at every level. 

This approach is the reason our grant making process always starts with a conversation.

 Trust-based philanthropy is a relatively new view on the relationship between Grantmakers and grant recipients. The idea is to build a mutually accountable relationship between the two and shift power from the typical hierarchy to one of a partnership. We at Acts of Generosity firmly believe serving our communities is a team effort and know we do not have all of the answers.
